Long Way Home is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization saving animals regardless of age, health, or species. Some may be healthy pets in an over-capacity shelter, some may need serious veterinary care or rehabilitation, others may be animals saved from medical experiments or being sold for meat slaughter overseas. They are rehabilitated and placed in loving forever homes.

Our foster-based, volunteer, rescue runs exclusively on public donations, and 100% of donations are tax deductible and used for animal care and to ensure we are able to save as many animals as possible.

(Please note: LWHA works exclusively with animals shelters and partner rescue groups domestically and abroad, but unfortunately, does not accept owner surrenders or strays.)

Meet Our Team

While we are a huge foster network, read about just a small part of our rescue organization. Our staff is responsible for new animal intake, foster coordination, fundraising, marketing, finding forever homes and much more!

STAFF

While we are a volunteer foster home network, meet the staff that coordinates and directs our life saving mission.
